We often hear complaints about solicitors and the way in which they charge. At Simon Burn Solicitors we take a proactive and commercial approach to costs. The following points are key to our approach:-
- We are always happy to have a "no cost no obligation" review meeting with you to see whether or not you would like to work with us. We identify what we can do to help you.
- The actual costs that are incurred in forfeiture proceedings would depend upon what we are asked to do and the extent to which the tenant resists. In most cases we can use our experience to offer an accurate estimate or a fixed fee if you prefer.
- Usually under the terms of a lease it is possible for a landlord and managing agent to recover their costs on an indemnity basis. We have an extremely high success rate of recovering costs so that you are not out of pocket.
- We will agree budgets with you before work is undertaken. This way there are no "nasty surprises" and you will know where you stand on costs from the get go.
- Whilst our costs are charged on a time basis we have extensive experience and expertise in this area which means we can work quickly and as we are based outside of London with lower overheads we can pass those savings onto you.
